Why your year end donation matters
Guadalupe Regional Medical Center (GRMC) recently celebrated its 60th anniversary. What began in 1965 as a modern 30-bed hospital in a sparsely populated area of Seguin has grown into an award-winning medical hub serving multiple counties. In the past year, GRMC has been recognized as the #1 best healthcare employer in the country for hospitals of our size, placed in the top 6% nationwide for orthopedic care, and received multiple awards for our birthing center, patient satisfaction, and safety—remarkable achievements for an independent, non-corporate, non-profit hospital with no tax base.
Our 9-bed Intensive Care Unit continues to expand its ability to treat complex medical conditions. With the addition of Dr. B. Sangha, triple-boarded in pulmonology, nephrology, and intensive care, many patients who once required transfer to San Antonio can now remain in Seguin for advanced procedures. Patients with serious diagnoses, such as sepsis, are receiving big-city care close to home.
Equally important as clinical expertise is our staff’s dedication to each patient’s cultural, religious, and emotional needs. Our ICU team provides exceptional, individualized care, accommodates family presence, and actively mentors staff across the hospital to ensure consistently high standards.
This year, the Guadalupe Regional Medical Foundation is requesting support for new flooring in the ICU. The current flooring is nearly 20 years old, and the proposed BioSpec flooring will provide a much-needed update. The project cost is $55,000, and any contribution to help offset this expense will be greatly appreciated.
